Evaluating Visual Variables in a Virtual Reality Environment

Large amount of multi-dimensional data can be difficult to visualize in standard 2D display. Virtual Reality and the associated 3rd dimension may useful for analysis; however, 3D charts often confusing users rather conveying information. This paper investigated evaluated graphical primitives a (VR) environment. We compared six different graphs involving two graph types five visual variables. analysed ocular EEG parameters while they undertook representative interpretation tasks using graphs. Our analysis found significant differences fixation rate, alpha low-beta bands among bar chart sizes columns values preferred terms correct response. also that colour makes it easier interpret nominal as shape size variable reduces time required processing numerical orientation or opacity. results used develop sensor dashboard visualization techniques VR environments.
